Mice As Thin As Pencils!

Mouse stuck under skirting board

Mice can get through the smallest of holes, it is generally accepted that if a pencil will go into a hole a mouse can get through it.

This mouse was obviously a little optimistic, getting stuck on exit, and found during one of our routine pest inspections at a café in Worcester.

This also shows the importance of pest inspections, rather than simply checking bait boxes. This mouse was hidden from view, so would not have been found without a thorough pest inspection.

It’s worth remembering that food businesses can receive significant penalties for failing to have a pest management system in place and for not protecting food safety from pests.
